Vivian Grandy Obituary, Death Cause – The family of the late Vivian Grandy of Grand Bank is mourning the loss of their loved one and makes this announcement with crushed hearts. Vivian, who was 94 years old when she passed away on September 2nd, 2023, in Burin, British Columbia, passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre. Vivian had a zest for life. She and her husband devoted a significant portion of their lives to exploring the world and taking vacations abroad. She had a soft spot in her heart for all creatures, but especially for her daughter’s cats and dogs. She enjoyed dressing up in the newest clothes and listening to music in her spare time.
Having a firm will, being active, being bright, and being communicative…There will always be a place in our hearts for Mom Grandy. Daughters Margot Rideout (Wayne) of Grand Bank and Terry Grandy of St. John’s, as well as three grandchildren, Clancy Rideout, Cassandra Rideout, and Chelsea Sellers, as well as a sister, Margaret Little, as well as a huge circle of extended relatives and friends, will be left to mourn their loss and cherish the great memories their mother left behind. Vivian’s husband, Stanley, her parents, Simeon and Charlotte Way, and her sister, Phyllis Wakefield all passed away before she did.
On Tuesday, September 5th, 2023, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, the Grandy relatives will be present at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Grand Bank to welcome relatives and close friends who wish to pay their respects. Tuesday, September 5th, 2023 at 2:00 pm will be the time and site for the chapel funeral service that will be held at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Grand Bank. After the service, interment will take place in the United Church Cemetery in Grand Bank, Newfoundland. In honor of Vivian, memorial contributions can be sent to the local SPCA chapter of your choice. The family has asked that there not be any flowers sent.
