Scott Nelson Obituary, Death Cause – The Lord took our dearly loved father, Scott Nelson, to live with him in heaven on Friday, September 1st. It is with great sadness that we must inform you of his departure; nonetheless, we would want to take this opportunity to honor the remarkable life he led. Scott was a wonderful husband and father, as well as a respected member of our community. He passed away recently. On Wednesday, September 6th, visitation will take place from 1-2 pm at the First Baptist Church of Livingston. Immediately following the visitation, there will be a service called a Celebration of Life, during which we will get together to reflect on and pay tribute to the remarkable individual that Scott was.
We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to two charities that were near and dear to Scott’s heart: the Center of Hope in Livingston, Texas, and the Home of Amazing Grace in Cleveland, Texas. Both of these organizations are in the state of Texas. These organizations are a demonstration of Scott’s constant dedication to making the world a better place, which is a testament to the fact that he had a passion for assisting those who were in need.
The people whose lives Scott changed, the memories we hold dear, and the good impact he had on our community will carry on Scott’s legacy long after he has passed away. On September 6th, we will be saying goodbye to a truly wonderful guy, and we would like to encourage everyone who knew him to join us in commemorating the remarkable trip he has taken.
