
Robert Duke Obituary, Death Cause – At the age of 49, Robert (Robbie) LaDon Duke Jr. passed away in a serene and quiet manner on August 30th, 2023 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama. At the time of his passing, he was embraced by friends and family on both sides. Before he ultimately lost his battle with colon cancer in stage 4, he fought the disease for a short while. On January 7, 1974, in the city of Tallahassee, he was born into this world by his parents, LaDon Duke and Alice Duke. Robbie was well-known for having a disposition that was warm and welcoming. He did everything he could to support his family and was there for them anytime they needed him.
He had a profound affection for them. His great-grandparents, Milton and Vonnie Duke, as well as his father, Robert LaDon Duke Sr., all passed away before he was born. His grandfather was also named Robert LaDon Duke. His mother, Alice Duke, his sister, Kimberly Prescott, his daughters Brittany Duke-Coleman and Alexis Duke, their husbands Mason Coleman and Ben Austin, their grandchildren Alex Nichols, Alexis Coleman, Ian Coleman, Matthew Coleman, Bentley Austin, and one more on the way, his nephew Blake Prescott, his significant other Dede Drummond, and a host of cherished Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins all survive him.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the Peavy Funeral Home on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 2:00 pm Central Time to honor the deceased. The family will begin receiving guests at 1:00 pm Central Time and will continue to do so up until the time that the funeral begins. Marlon Peavy, the individual who is in charge of making all of the arrangements at the Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, Florida, is in command of the business.
