Oscar Escalante Obituary, Death Cause – We regret to notify you of the passing of our cherished retired Sergeant and SRO, Oscar Escalante. He will be greatly missed. He spent many years being of service to our community. Oscar’s dedication to our community spanned an incredible 22 years when he was employed with our organization, and he left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who he assisted along the way. His legacy will live on in our community forever. Oscar’s commitment to our children and the positive influence he had during his 17-year tenure as a School Resource Officer (SRO) extended multiple student generations and was felt throughout our whole school body.
Oscar was a School Resource Officer at our school for 17 years. A significant number of impressionable young people grew to see him as a reliable mentor and friend, and he left behind a legacy of inspiration that will live on in perpetuity. Oscar Escalante was a pillar of integrity and dedication in our community, and both Lincoln City and Lincoln County consider themselves tremendously fortunate to have had the opportunity to call him a neighbor for so many years. He was held in high esteem by many, was a source of optimism for many, and played an essential part in the lives of a huge number of individuals.
Our collective and individual hearts are broken at the news of the demise of a person who was truly remarkable in the human race. During this trying time, our deepest sympathies and prayers are with Oscar’s family as they come to terms with the loss of a family member or other close relative. His legacy will continue to serve as a source of motivation for all of us, and his memory will continue to shine as a beacon signifying unwavering commitment and real compassion even after he is gone.
