Margaret Lori Obituary, Death –
Margaret Lori, who was the mother of Archbishop William E. Lori, passed away on September 3 in New Albany, Indiana. Archbishop William E. Lori presided over the Diocese of Indianapolis. When she passed away, she had reached the age of 103 years. After Francis Lori completed his obligation to serve in the United States Navy during World War II, he wed Margaret Lori, whose family name was Caradonna at the time of their first meeting. Caradonna was Margaret’s maiden name before she married.
The couple had just recently celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary in January 2020, a month before Mr. Lori passed away in February 2020. His passing occurred in the same year. This took place not too long before Mr. Lori passed away. William E. Lori of Baltimore made this comment on the occasion of his installation as Archbishop of Baltimore. He said that his parents encouraged him to pursue a profession in the priesthood when he was a child.
This remark was given in conjunction with the ceremony that marked his installation as the Archbishop of Baltimore. “I’m very confident that one of the very first things I picked up was the level of seriousness with which both of my parents pursued their own religious beliefs. I believe that this was one of the first things I picked up.” When I was a youngster, my family would always go to church on Sundays, and we would say our prayers over the rosary every night before going to sleep. They continued to get in touch with us on a regular basis, and they did so whenever they had the opportunity to do so.
