It is with profound sadness and a sense of grief that we hereby inform the community of the demise of Marcel Lawrence Benson, a highly esteemed individual whose presence had a profound impact on the lives of several individuals. Marcel, aged 89, passed away quietly at Uniting Farmborough Care in Unanderra on August 28th, leaving behind fond memories and a legacy characterized by love and dedication.
Marcel had strong commitment as a spouse, demonstrating affection and pride as a father and father-in-law to Neale, David and Cathy, as well as Gayle and Tom. The individual harbored a profound affection for his grandchildren, namely Emma, Len, and Sam, and assumed the role of a devoted grandparent in their lives. In his capacity as a great-grandfather, he derived great joy from the company of Oscar and Beau, who were lovingly referred to as his great-grandparental partners. Throughout his professional trajectory, Marcel shown exceptional proficiency in his role as an Engineer, exhibiting not just unwavering commitment but also assuming the responsibilities of an educator and guide, profoundly influencing the trajectories of numerous individuals.
The individual’s efforts encompassed Probarian, so demonstrating their dedication to enhancing the well-being of individuals in their vicinity. Marcel’s affinity for athletics and his commitment as a devoted volunteer underscored his fervor for community service. He exhibited qualities of loyalty, humility, and exemplary conduct, which resonated with those fortunate enough to have acquainted themselves with him, so establishing his reputation as a genuine gentleman. A memorial service of a private nature was conducted to pay tribute to the memories of Marcel.
