
Jack Evans Obituary, Death Cause – At 9:08 p.m. on September 7, 2023, Jack R. Evans, 94, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, gently passed away in the company of his devoted wife and kids. On July 21, 1929, Jack was born in Kansas City, Missouri. As a WWII and Korean War veteran who proudly served his country, Jack was a Marine. From 1957 to 1965, Jack worked as an engineer at Bendix. After working for AT&T for 22 years, he eventually retired in 1987. At a Milgram’s grocery shop in 1957, Jack and Carmen first spoke. After a brief courtship, Jack and Carmen got married and went on to have five kids:
Jackie Bosworth, Bonnie Stroup, Vickie Anderson, Larry Evans, and Kim Evans. Jack and Carmen have ten great grandkids, including Luca, Viviana, Grayson, Shepard, Bailey, Gage, Katie, Ben, Mia, and Alaina, in addition to nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Aron, Derek, Jason, Jonathon, Nicholas, Kristin, Megan, and Ross. 7/21/1929 – 9/07/2023. They assert that the dash between the dates of birth and death—rather than either one—is what matters most in life. Jack R. Evans had a remarkable life filled with adoring connections, including a 66-year marriage to his lovely wife Carmen, hundreds of fascinating tales, and numerous good deeds.
Jack was unquestionably unique. He had no enemies and had never met a stranger. He was considerate, giving, generous, and compassionate. All those who knew and loved him will miss him. On September 13, 2023, at 10 am, a service will be held at the Langsford Funeral Home in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Please think about making a donation in Jack R.
