Ilija Mitic Obituary, Death Cause – We are devastated to inform you of the demise of Ilija Mitic, who was a treasured part of the Earthquakes family. It is with heavy hearts that we share this news with you. During his tenure with the Earthquakes, which spanned from 1975 until 1978, Ilija left an indelible impression on the organization by amassing an impressive total of 36 goals while playing in a total of 67 games. Up to the time of Ilija’s passing, he, his devoted wife, and their kid all made the Bay Area their home. As a result, he helped forge relationships that will last a lifetime within our community.
He was not simply a skilled athlete but also a beloved figure who added to the vibrant tapestry of our Earthquakes’ history. His contributions will be remembered fondly. Today, as a community, we would want to extend our most sincere condolences and sincere sympathy to the Mitic family for their recent loss.
