Bonnie Pflum Obituary, Death Cause – My family and I are going through a period of mourning following the passing of our dearly loved mother, Bonnie Pflum. She passed away on a Saturday after a protracted and difficult battle against breast cancer. We are all in a state of shock and bewilderment as a result of the awful course these events have taken. When we think of her, we picture the vivacious woman who was captured in a moving photograph that was taken only a few weeks after she was given her diagnosis. This picture was taken not long after she was told that she had cancer. This fills us with an unfathomable amount of sadness.
Before Mom started her challenging journey through chemotherapy, we were able to spend some quality time together during a long overdue family reunion. This picture serves as a bittersweet reminder of the time that we were able to spend together during that reunion before Mom began her treatment. Sadly, in spite of her unwavering bravery in the face of the cancer, which proved to be stubborn, rapidly progressing, and ultimately proving to be too difficult to conquer, she passed away. This pain came as a great surprise to our family as there was no history of cancer in any member of our family; as a result, it was incredibly difficult to bear.
Bonnie just celebrated her 79th birthday not too long ago, and she was an amazing woman in every respect. Her infectious sense of humor, sharp wit, and boundless goofiness left an indelible impression on everyone who had the privilege of getting to know her. She had an unrivaled capacity for compassion, and she would go to great lengths to help those who were in need. Her being was made of solid gold, even her heart.
