Barbara Opacki Obituary, Death Cause – My mother, Barbara Opacki, suffered through a number of ailments over the course of the summer and ultimately lost her battle with illness on Thursday, August 31. After a protracted bout with illness, she lost her battle with death. Some of you may already be aware of this fact. My mother was a genuine inspiration and a guiding light, not only in my life but also in the lives of a great number of other people. She played this role in both of our families. She stood out from everyone else in every respect. It is tough to forget about someone who has given you a lot of reasons to remember them in the first place.
Mom, I pray that you find comfort in the knowledge that I loved you and will do so even after you’re gone. Please take into consideration the fact that my father and I are mulling over the possibility of throwing a Celebration of Life Party on October 1 in the Greater Boston Area. I will make the pertinent information available online by the end of the week, and everyone will be able to use that information to make plans to be there.
A particular thanks goes out to Jack Corrigan for the support he has offered with mom’s healthcare over the past several weeks. We would also like to extend our gratitude to everyone who has been in contact with us over the course of the last several days and over the duration of the summer as mom has been battling off her health challenges. In a few weeks, we are looking forward to getting together with all of you in order to commemorate the life of our mother and everything that she meant to each and every one of us.
